How it works in practice

Catching an unusual high-value transfer

A customer's account initiates a transfer well above their typical monthly spend, to a payee they have never sent funds to before. Authsignal's transaction rules recognise both signals and trigger a passkey confirmation showing the exact amount and payee before the transfer is released. The genuine customer, making a rare but legitimate large purchase, approves the transfer from their device without issue. Had the request instead come from an attacker who had gained partial account access, the missing passkey would have blocked the transfer outright, and the attempt would appear in the fraud team's review queue.
