FaceTec's UR Codes are cryptographically signed biometric barcodes that let a holder prove their identity, age or entitlements without repeatedly re-submitting documents.
Conventional online identity verification often requires users to upload copies of ID documents to third-party services each time proof is needed, spreading sensitive personal data across multiple vendors with limited oversight from the issuing authority. This creates both a privacy exposure and repeated friction for the user.
FaceTec's UR Code approach packages signed identity and biometric data into a scannable code that a holder controls, allowing identity, age or entitlement to be proven on demand, in person or remotely, without re-exposing the underlying documents each time.
Encodes signed face biometric and identity data into a scannable code, allowing a verifier to confirm the code's authenticity and its binding to the holder without needing separate document checks each time.
Lets a holder prove specific facts, such as identity, age or an entitlement, without necessarily exposing the full underlying document data to every party requesting verification.
Supports both physical, in-person scanning scenarios and remote digital verification, giving issuers and relying parties a consistent verification method across channels.
Extends beyond identity to prove a holder's right to access an account, service or privilege, tying the entitlement to their verified biometric identity rather than a separate, spoofable credential.
Produces scannable codes bound to signed biometric and identity data.
Confirms a scanned code's signature and binding to the presenting individual.
Works for both in-person and remote verification scenarios.
A person who has already completed identity verification with an issuing service holds a UR Code that encodes their signed identity data. When they need to prove their identity or an entitlement to a different service, they present the code for scanning rather than uploading fresh copies of their ID. The relying party's system verifies the code's cryptographic signature and its biometric binding to the presenter, confirming the claim without the underlying documents being exposed to a new third party each time.
CyberLane helps organisations assess whether a UR Code-style model fits their identity ecosystem, how it would interoperate with existing verification and access-control systems, and what governance is needed around code issuance and revocation.
CyberLane is independent and works on the decision rather than the deployment. Product-specific delivery is coordinated with the vendor or a qualified implementation partner.
FaceTec does not publish a conventional use-case catalogue. These applications have been compiled independently by CyberLane from FaceTec's official product pages, technical documentation and published case studies, and are written in CyberLane's own words rather than reproduced from vendor material.
